Who Am I?

I'm a second year PhD student at the french's Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble. I'm attached to team eMotion of Laboratoire Gravir. My thesis deals with intentional motion prediction.

Intentional Motion?

Well, maybe the term needs further discussion: Some objects (e.g. people, robots, animals, etc.) are able to move according to an internal planning/decision process; it is assumed that those plans are made with the intention to accomplish a particular task, hence the name intentional motion.

My work is based on the hypothesis that it is possible to construct a library of plan models for a given environment. Having constructed such a library, motion prediction consists in identifying the plan that an object is executing and using the corresponding model in order to predict future positions of the object.
